How To Get to Anguilla

Are you planning a vacation to Anguilla?

Since January 2022, American Airlines is flying daily direct from Miami to Anguilla. Since November 2022, there are now two flights per day on Saturdays and depending on the months, on some other days as well. Best you check online or with your travel agent for their updated schedule. 

If you travel from the US, this might be your best option to fly directly into Anguilla from the US. 

As of now, most of our guests from the US and Europe fly into St. Maarten (SXM), only six miles away from Anguilla. From there you take a ferry (25 minutes) or a small plane (7 minutes) to get to Anguilla. Here are the details for your transfer from St. Maarten to Anguilla. The other gateways to Anguilla (AXA) are through San Juan (SJU), seasonally via St. Thomas (STT), and seasonally via Antigua (ANU).

From the United States, you can either fly via Miami direct to Anguilla or you can fly via St. Maarten (several daily direct flights from various US cities). St. Maarten (SXM) is only six miles away from Anguilla and easy reachable by ferry (takes about 25 minutes). 

Starting January 10th, 2022, American Airlines will begin to fly directly into Anguilla (AXA) from Miami, three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday). 

Starting April 2nd, 2022, American Airlines will fly DAILY from Miami directly to Anguilla. 

If you travel from the US, this might be your best option to fly directly into Anguilla from the US. 

However, you can also fly via Puerto Rico or St. Thomas and from there directly to Anguilla, especially if there are direct flights from your home airport into those hubs.

• All major airlines fly from the United States into San Juan, Puerto Rico. However, the service from San Juan to Anguilla is not available daily and depends on the season. Some connections are tricky and may require an overnight stay. Consult your travel agent or online.

You can either fly with Air France via Paris or KLM via Amsterdam to St. Maarten. This would be suitable if you have connecting flights from your home airport into Paris or Amsterdam. The other option is flying from London into Antigua and connecting from there direct to Anguilla.
